Seminar to present Multi Sector Trade Mission To Cameroon Holds in Brussels

A Seminar to present a multi-sector Trade Mission to Cameroon within the framework of the international Trade Fair PROMOTE 2019 took place in Brussels, Monday January 14 2019. This Multi-Sector Trade Mission is made up of hub.

Brussels (Brussels Invest and Export), the Waloon Agency for Export and Foreign Investment (AWEX), Flanders Investment Trade (FIT),in collaboration with the Belgian-Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce for Africa (CBL-ACP). The main highlight of this seminar was a power point presentation presentation on the topic "Business opportunites in Cameroon"(Opportunités d'affaires au Cameroun), KENHAGO TAZO Olivier, Minister Counselor in Cameroon Embassy, Belgium. His paper presented could be summarized under two broad topics:-

1) "Cameroon  land of new opportunities" and focus here was on:- brief presentation of Cameroon,  its economic assets, the business environment, incentives for investvestment, favourable sectors for investment and the political and security situation.
2) "Attractive factors and economic assets  of Cameroun(facteurs d'attractivité et atouts economiques du Cameroun) were presented with emphasise on  Cameroon's geographical location, its natural and Socio-cultural diversities.

This seminar was attended by some 50 participants among whom were Martin Abega, Honorary Consul of the Netherlands to Cameroon and the consultant of this trade mission, Benedicte WILDERS,Director of internalisation,hub,Brussels,Mireille Janssens, Business development Specialist and Ibrahim AKROUH, Lawyer.Last Monday's Seminar held in prelude to the organisation of a multi-sector trade mission to Cameroon from 16-22, February 2019 as a part of the international trade fair PROMOTE 2019.
This Trade mission will focus on Agribusiness and Agriculture, Infrastructure, Transport and Logistics, Economy and green energy, Health, legal aspects and training. Their main aim is to enable entrepreneurs to discovers greater business opportunities, to show case their production of services and to learn more on Cameroon's markets, the opportunities it offers among others.
In a recent communique, Cameroon's Ambassador to Belgium and the E.U Daniel Avina Abe'e disclosed that for this edition of the Trade Mission, Brussels Invests and Exports wants to involve economic operators from the Cameroonian diaspora in Belgium in order to eventually support their search partners in new Foreign Markets. Furthermore the condition to participate requires that it must be a company with offices in Brussels, oriented towards exports.
